So Genelle and I have had much less sleep since we came home from hospital. Some nights we’re lucky if we get 3 hours (usually from 3-6am or 2-5 am). We’ve both had this hallucination where there’s a baby in the bed under our comforter. Probably pretty comfy, but a smother hazzard. I swear that I’ve seen the comforter move. LOL
The hallucination I had last night was odd. I was looking for a model and serial number on the baby so that they could use the new “Soothies” pacificers that I bought at Target. Genelle had to tell me to go back to bed, but I was convinced that I needed a serial number for them to work. Man do I need a nap!

I thought this was a really nice photo of Heather and Edward together on my bean bag. The twins have their own bean bags i.e. Boppy Pillows!

My wife always calls pacifiers “dummies”. Its a South African thing. I’m not sure why but my guess is that “dummy” is like “decoy” or something.

A Big Hi to all my family and friends,
The twins arrived this Tuesday FINALLY ! I am in love with both of them. Edward is my little man and Heather my lovely little lady. I can sit for ages and just stare at them. They both look so perfect and unique.
My C Section took place on Tuesday at 9am. The actual operation while scary went off without issue. It was amazing when the doctor pulled first one baby out (Edward) and then the next. My first thought that went through my head as Edward came out was is he ok and then he pelted out a big cry and I felt so much better, Heather came out covered with white “stuff” and took what seemed like an age to cry…in reality it was just seconds. All in all they both were quickly given a good bill of health.
By the next day with the drugs worn off the REALITY of me having just undergone an operation kicked in. It turned out that I was very allergic to either the spinal or the morphine that I was given. As a result I felt like my entire body itched all over. No amount of benadryl taken through my IV seemed to help. Well no further morphine meant that I had to receive alternative pain medication, which did not seem to work initially. After a few combinations I finally received some relief but not total pain relief. To put it mildly a C Section is PAINFUL ! I can’t wait to feel myself and be able to do all I can for the twins.
I am getting a tad tired so before logging off I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and wishes. Both Jeff and myself are very appreciative.
